Nail Crazies Unite challenge – Ugly Sweater

Hi folks! Christmas is finally out of the way, I’ve eaten my body weight in cheese and chocolate (and that’s a lot!) and now I’ve got the mandatory post Christmas cold. I’ve been neglecting my nail care, forgetting the hand cream, and I’m paying the price – I’ve got two splits that I’m sure won’t last much longer. So a new short nail shape is looming! Anyway, on with today’s mani. The prompt is ugly sweater, which confused me slightly – why would you paint something ugly on your nails?

What I used:

• Barry M Lychee (beige creme)
• MoYou London White Knight (white stamping polish)
• Born Pretty Store BP-L056 stamping plate
• Born Pretty Store Clear stamper

I started with two coats of Lychee, which is a colour I don’t normally wear (it’s beige) so hopefully that fulfills the ugly part! I then stamped a Xmas sweater pattern from BP-L056, which I will be reviewing properly very soon. A coat of HK Girl Glisten & Glow finished off.

So, it’s sort of cute! Bit bland for my taste though. I’ll be bringing on the bling for new year’s Eve!
