Hiya! Today is the latest prompt for the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts group challenge – 26 Great Nail Art Ideas. The prompt today is blue floral. I never know, when a colour is mentioned in a prompt, whether to just use that colour or to add others to it. But I guess one of the points of these challenges is to see everyone’s interpretation, so here is mine.
What I used:
- Freckles Polish See You At The Shore (blue linear holo)
- Sally Hansen Night Watch (dark blue jelly)
- Uberchic stamping plate 5-01
- Born Pretty Store clear stamper
- HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat
I started with two coats of See You At The Shore, which is a denim blue creme with linear holo and lighter blue shimmer. I really love this polish, it’s my perfect shade of blue and it’s holo! It was part of the UK indie box last summer, so unfortunately isn’t available any more.
The stamping is from Uberchic plate 5-01 – I really do love all the Uberchic plates I own, and they are easy to use which is always appreciated! No faffing around finding the perfect scraping pressure & stamper combo.
I was going to double stamp with a lighter shade of blue, but when I tried it, it looked too messy and hid most of the base polish. So I repainted that nail and stuck with just the one layer.
