Hi guys! It’s time for the next #whencolourscollide challenge, and this week the colours are any shades of blue and brown. I have to admit, I was severely lacking in inspiration for this one. I seem to have lots of blue stamping polishes, and zero brown ones, so I decided to do a brown base with blue stamping.
What I used:
- Sally Hansen Forbidden Fudge (chocolate brown shimmer)
- MoYou London Beach House (pastel blue stamping polish)
- MoYou London Cool Pool (darker blue stamping polish)
- Born Pretty Store clear stamper
- HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat
- Uberchic plate 12-03
I started off with two coats of Forbidden Fudge, which is a gorgeous chocolatey shimmery polish. I love it so much, it really works well with my skin tone.
I decided to use one of the layered patterns from the Uberchic set 12. This one is a diamond pattern. I started with the pale blue diamonds, then stamped the darker blue grid over the top. It was so hard to line these up! My hands tend to shake a little, so it was more luck than judgement that some of my nails look OK. My middle nail is way out!
I’m not entirely sure I like this design! And I’m positive that my dad had a tie just like this back in the 70’s…
Here’s the collage of all the challenge manis. If you’d like to take part in the next one, hop over to Facebook and join the When Colours Collide group.
Until next time,
Love
