Winter snowflakes

Hi! What’s this…  a post that isn’t a challenge mani? I’ve finally had some time to do nails for myself! It’s been really cold and frosty here recently, so I decided to do some snowflake nails (closest I can get to frost). I’ve been getting up at 5.45 lately to go for a run, and everything is all dark and sparkly when I’m out. I think this has inspired this colour choice!

What I used:

  • Nails Inc The Serpentine (royal blue creme)
  • NYC Rock Muse (silver glitters in a black tinted base)
  • Barry M Silver Foil ( silver stamping polish)
  • HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat
  • Barry M Matte topcoat
  • QA86 stamping plate

I started with a single coat of The Serpentine, it really is a one coat wonder, and it dries really glossy! I added a coat of Rock Muse, which because of the tinted base, darkened my blue to a sort of midnight colour. But still blue, which was what I wanted.

I stamped my snowflakes on, and added a coat of HK Girl to seal everything in. Then I added a coat of matte topcoat, which gives a lovely velvety finish. I’m mad for matte nails lately!

Loving these! And they are so weather appropriate right now 🌨❄

See you soon,
