Hello! June seems to be flying by, we’re almost halfway through the year already! Today I have another #clairestelle8june mani for you – the prompt is chevrons or zigzags. I chose chevrons, and just to make it a little more different, did them vertically.
What I used:
Sally Hansen Wedding Glitters (gold foil)
Danglefoot Polish Moonriver (blue crelly with pink shimmer & flakies)
Sally Hansen Glitz Gal (black & holo full coverage glitter)
Chevron nail vinyls from She Sells Seashells
HK Girl Glisten & Glow (topcoat)
I started off with two coats of Wedding Glitters, which I then topcoated and left to dry for half an hour or so. Working on one nail at a time, I then applied my chevron vinyl vertically down my nails, and painted the inner parts with glitter and the outer bits with Danglefoot Polish Moonriver. I did quite thick coats, as I knew that Moonriver is a touch on the sheet side. While that was still wet, I carefully peeled off the vinyl which left my nice golden chevrons.
I really liked this design, they stayed on my nails all weekend and it was reasonably easy to replicate on my right hand too. I don’t like having mismatched hands!
Moonriver is so pretty, I need to use it more!
