#whencolourscollide – tone on tone (blue)

Hi! I’ve got the next installment of the #whencolourscollide challenge to show you today. This time round, the prompt is tone on tone (blue), so we had to use at least two shades of blue to make our manis. I thought I’d do some double stamping, and considering I was just playing around, I think it came out great!

What I used:

Cupcake Polish Remembering Blue (silvery blue linear holo)
Nails Inc The Serpentine (dark blue creme)
Nails Inc Optic Wave (mid blue creme)
Barry M Blueberry (pale blue creme)
OPI Last Friday Night (silver & blue glitter topper)
HK Girl Glisten & Glow (topcoat)
Liquid latex
Clear stamper
Pet’la Terra stamping plate

I started with two coats of Blueberry, then stamped on the other blue tones, darkest to lightest, making sure that I changed the orientation of the image each time. I finished off with a coat of Last Friday Night for a little sparkle, plus a coat of Glisten & Glow.

Quite a dramatic look, but really easy to do! I like easy!

Here’s a collage of everybody’s blue manis. Don’t they look amazing? If you’d like to join in with the next challenge, join the When Colours Collide Facebook group, and don’t forget to check out all the solo shots on Instagram, search for #whencolourscollide.
