Hi! Today I have pics from the first of my holiday untrieds. Max Factor Intense Plum is a basic purple crème polish, I vaguely remember picking this up when I bought Fantasy Fire as Boots were doing a 3 for 2 offer. It’s quite a small bottle, only 4.5ml, and retails at £4.99, so compared to Barry M, Rimmel and co it’s on the expensive end.
I paired it with Hits Speciallità Cheesecake, which is a plum tinted base filled with purple/pink microglitter and larger purple holo glitters. I bought this one quite recently from Sally Magpie.
All of my holiday Nail photos were taken in less than ideal lighting conditions, so apologies in advance.
I used two coats of Intense Plum on my nails, and it was still patchy. I was quite disappointed, I have other dark cremes that are perfect at two coats so I expected more from this one. I then added a single coat of Cheesecake to my middle and ring fingers for some sparkle.
I did like the two paired together, though I’m really not impressed that Intense Plum is a three-coater when it’s such a small bottle. I’m sure you could find a cheaper dupe in one of the many other drugstore brands.
Till next time,
Love, Jo x
Love the glitter topper.
I agree, Max Factor nail polishes are quite expensive – I often wonder who keeps buying them considering the shades are fairly standard. Although, Fantasy Fire is an amazing shade.

I love my Fantasy Fire! Though I’ve read that it has been reformulated and isn’t as good any more 😦

Reformulated? Oh no! I need to check whether my local drugstores are still sitting on old stock…
