Metallic skittlette

Hello! Today I’ve got some random nail art to show you. I’ve called it a skittlette as it’s not a true skittle because two nails are the same.

I started out with two coats of Sally Hansen Wedding Glitters on all nails, followed by a coat of HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat, then headed off to work. Later, on my middle & ring fingers, I used some straight vinyls made into an angle (I don’t have any chevrons so I improvised!) and painted the top part with an unnamed old limited edition blue foil from Barry M, and the bottom part with The Hamptons from Ciate. The Hamptons is a blue version of their popular Antique Broach shade, I also have the silver Locket version. My little finger has two coats of The Hamptons, and on my index I stamped some leaves with the Barry M. My thumb has two coats of the Barry M. I also added two little gold studs to my middle & ring fingers.

It’s all very glittery and catches the light, but I have to confess that the colour scheme didn’t wow me and I got bored with it pretty quickly. I think that the stamped nail would have been better the other way round too (gold over blue).
