#clairestelle8june challenge - Red

#clairestelle8june challenge – Red

I’m back again! Today is the first day of the #clairestelle8june challenge, and the prompt is a nice, simple Red. So I went with a nice simple mani too.

I have many, many red polishes as I love them so much. I thought I’d use an untried one, so meet Models Own HyperGel Brunette Red. It’s a lovely squishy dark red creme with a hint of jelly. It was also almost opaque in one coat, so I thought it might work for stamping. I love the HyperGel range, every one I’ve tried (except one, a baby pink) has been easy to apply and perfect in two coats.

I did two coats of Brunette Red on all fingers except for my ring finger, which has two coats of Barry M Gelly Coconut. I seem to be using Coconut in every other mani!

I then stamped the lipstick stain using Brunette Red – it comes up pinker when stamped but still looks good. It isn’t pigmented enough to show over darker colours, but for stamping on white it’s fine. One coat of HK Girl Glisten & Glow finished everything off.

Like I said, nice and simple!

My camera didn’t like the red much, and has pulled it slightly darker than real life.

Till next time,

Love, Jo x
