kandy.colors Something Special

kandy.colors is a UK indie polish maker. Their recent Cleopatra collection are cremes featuring a gorgeous gold shimmer. I’d seen a few reviews of a dusky pink that I wanted, so when I saw kandy.colors offering a free bottle on orders over £15, it was time to order. A few days later, this arrived:

On the top we have Pink Glacier and Milk Buttons, then the bottom row is Made To Love, Night Lights (the freebie) and Something Special. Apart from Made To Love, I wanted to order outside of my usual comfort zone, so we have milky pastels and green!

Today I want to show you Something Special, which is a very apt name. When I saw the bottle I really wasn’t sure that I’d like it, but once it was on my nails, it really seemed to flatter my skin tone, and those golden shimmers really do take your breath away. Picture spam coming up! (Sorry about the wet look fingers, I got over excited with the cuticle oil!)

All shots show three thin coats, and no top coat. There was still a teensy bit of visible nail line in some lights, but nothing I really cared about.

All pics taken in sunshine without flash unless specified.

Bottle shot. I dribbled. Oops.

One last shot, to show you what it looks like in the shade:

kandy.colors polishes are 5 free, and are available from their website. You can follow them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for swatches and special offers. Like most UK indie makers, they can only ship polishes within the UK, but they do make other make-up that is available internationally.

Till next time,

Love, Jo x
